Multi-Brand Operator Adds Another DQ Grill & Chill

Multi-unit, multi-brand operator Shawn Eby, founder and CEO of Goalz Restaurant Group, has just opened his second DQ Grill & Chill location, this time in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Eby has been a DQ Grill & Chill operator since opening his first unit in North Carolina last year. Goalz Restaurant Group also operates restaurant locations for Dog Haus, Church's Chicken, and Captain D's.

"From my first job out of high school at Dairy Queen, I knew I admired their business model," said Eby. "Now with my own restaurant group, I'm drawn to the brand because of the strong feelings it evokes with their emphasis on tradition."

The new DQ Grill & Chill location brings Eby's total number of operating restaurants to 11. Goalz Restaurant Group plans to open 265 restaurants across 9 states during the next few years, including another DQ Grill & Chill scheduled to open in Colorado in October.

"Goalz follows the business mantra of people who serve great food and Dairy Queen is the perfect example of this, with dedication to tradition at each location," added Eby. "The Fort Pierce community is the perfect place to bring that tradition, for locals to enjoy the DQ experience."

Dairy Queen has more than 7,000 locations worldwide and plans to add more than 70 new restaurants in the United States in 2019.
