PanIQ Escape Room Plans Mega Concept for Las Vegas

Hungarian-based PanIQ Escape Room is set to debut the premier brand’s most innovative concept yet in the U.S. – in a big way.

PanIQ Room plans to open its first MEGA Escape Room in Las Vegas in early 2020.  The prominent location on the famous Las Vegas strip is expected to deliver a big boon in brand awareness for the leading real-life entertainment company primed for rapid franchise expansion.

“We believe this venue will be the most profitable escape room facility in the world,” says franchise founder Akos Gabossy. “We expect to host at least 60,000 guests a year at the Las Vegas location.”

The pioneer of franchise escape rooms stateside, PanIQ Room continues to up the creative ante as one of the nation’s fastest-growing entertainment concepts. The MEGA PanIQ Room lives up to its name with expansive gaming areas, more intricate and technologically-advanced themes under one roof, and multiple revenue sources in the way of merchandise, food, and beverages—and repeat visits.

“These kinds of facilities operate like a movie theater,” says Gabossy. “Players don’t have to make a reservation. They can just walk in and play any of the available themes.”

The Las Vegas site boasts eight different themes—three more than the existing MEGA model—with new room designs, such as Steampunk, Zombie Barn, and Atlantis.  The family-friendly location also plans to position itself in the market as the perfect venue for private bachelor and bachelorette parties with special offers targeting the 18-plus set.

PanIQ’s MEGA units aim to meet the changing needs of the industry and soaring popularity as a place for entertainment and team building. A European style bar and coffee place is an essential component of the venue that also houses a comfortable lobby and plenty of seating.

“Instead of offering a 60 to a 75-minute program to players, we can offer a two-hour program,” Gabossy says. “Players can sit down in the lobby with a drink and talk about their experience after the game. If they are not tired, they can also try another room after a great conversation. Having multiple rooms is a great opportunity for corporate clients since more players can play simultaneously than in a smaller venue.”

These MEGA locations are also a means to boost the bottom line for PanIQ’s growing base of franchise partners. The first MEGA flagship unit in Budapest features five escape room themes, a unique virtual reality escape room, a private room for events, and restaurant and bar facilities.

“Selling merchandise products and food and beverage can increase the profitability of a MEGA ER venue,” Gabossy says. “In our first MEGA PanIQ Room in Hungary, 50% of the revenue is generated by these new revenue centers.”

PanIQ’s success is no mystery. The brand has changed the face of the industry, laser-focused on trading the “dark and spooky image” of escape rooms of old for a modern mainstream approach to the entertainment craze. The brand’s latest generation of technologically advanced models are “spectacular,” says Gabossy, where stories and settings take center stage in an immersive experience. Guests still have to find their way out of PanIQ, but might lose themselves in their imagination along the way.

Franchise partners can count on a proven global brand, with a custom reservation and backend developed system that provides a smooth, turnkey operation and strong franchise support. PanIQ has its sights set on more U.S. expansion. The brand has opened in Hollywood, San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Phoenix, Dallas, Nashville, Chicago, New York City, Washington D.C., and Miami, with locations coming soon in Atlanta and the Bahamas.
