Between Rounds started in 1990, in Vernon, Connecticut. The first store, owned by Jerry & Laurie Puiia, named the Bagel Stop, was patterned after a store Jerry's dad Vito, and brother Joe owned in Hoboken, New Jersey.
In 1991 Jerry & Joe opened the second Bagel Stop in South Windsor, Connecticut.
In 1993, we opened the first "franchised look" store in Glastonbury, Connecticut, and changed our company name to "Between Rounds." In the ensuing years, franchise stores opened in Connecticut and Massachusetts.
