McKinney, Texas – Sept. 22, 2011 – Blockbuster L.L.C. will soon launch an app that gives people the ability to rent and watch movies through Facebook Platform. The Blockbuster app on Facebook is designed to provide Blockbuster customers new forms of discovery and engagement around the Blockbuster digital catalog. The announcement was made at the f8 Developer Conference in San Francisco.
When renting movies from Blockbuster’s expansive library, people can navigate the Blockbuster experience within Facebook, which will include discovery, search and video playback through an embedded player.

New spot emphasizes Blockbuster's 28-day window advantage DALLAS, Nov. 22, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time since 2007, Americans will see Blockbuster on every major network and cable networks beginning today with the launch of its national television advertising campaign, "Less Waiting. More Watching." The :30 spot debuts today on programs like NBC's "Today" show and ABC's "Dancing with the Stars: Finale."
