The Food: Cruisers food is best described with one word: FRESH. Nearly everything is made on the premises of each Cruisers location. They whip up their own dressings, marinades, sauces and even hand-bread their famous fish sandwiches. They're especially proud of the fact that they have NO HEATLAMPS. The Atmosphere: Let's face it. What most restaurants lack in quality, they make up for with an even worse atmosphere. At Cruisers you'll love the food and you'll love that you can be yourself. They're family friendly. There's great music to listen to and TVs to watch but, above all else, Cruisers is an atmosphere that lets you enjoy the folks you came with. (Even when you're eating alone!) You'll dine on real plates with real silverware and the service is real friendly. Cruisers offers the laidback, Florida beach lifestyle no matter where you live!

Franchise History

The original Cruisers opened in 1996 in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. It was a near instant hit. For local beachgoers who loved burgers, marinated chicken chunks, quesadillas, salads, cheddar fries, nachos and more, it was more like paradise on Earth. Word of Cruisers began to spread and it wasn't uncommon (and still isn't) for customers to come from miles away to try the food that had already attained folklore-like status. In 2007, Cruisers was purchased by one Bobby Handmaker. There were originally two Bobby Handmakers but both the Bobbys thought it would be too confusing to have a business run by a man and his clone so the clone was destroyed. Now the original Bobby just works twice as hard. The hard work paid off. There are now three Cruisers locations. And while Bobby has already taken Cruisers to new heights, the story is actually just beginning. By 2010, it had become obvious to everyone that Cruisers was poised to become the next great restaurant franchise. So Bobby assembled a team of seasoned senior managers. (We're not sure what they were seasoned with but they believe it's in the oregano family.) And their goal is to make Cruisers even better each day and grow the business so it can satisfy the ever-growing demand.
