April 26, 2012 // Franchising.com // Europcar is pleased to announce that important milestones have been achieved in optimizing its capital structure and maturity profile, with amendments to certain of its key financing arrangements.
These milestones include the following:
Successful rating of the Senior Asset Revolving Facility to a "A" level by Standard & Poor's
Amendment of the Senior Revolving Credit Facility with an extended maturity
Commitments to extend the maturity of the long-term fleet financing in the UK
Amendment to the company's principal swap agreement to better match its capital structure and optimize fleet financing costs.
As a result, Europcar will have arranged to extend all of its maturities to 2015 and beyond, except for the "A" rated Senior Asset Revolving Facility maturing in 2014 and the bonds maturing in May 2013... |

March 13, 2012 // Franchising.com // Caroline Parot has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Europcar Groupe, the leader in car rental services in Europe. She replaces Claire Giraut, and joins the group’s Executive Committee alongside Roland Keppler, Chief Executive Officer, and Rafael Girona, Chief Operating Officer.
Caroline Parot was previously in charge of Group Controlling for the Group.
Prior to joining Europcar, Caroline held senior finance positions within the Technicolor Group (formerly Thomson) as Group Controller and Technology Segment CFO. Caroline started her career as Senior Manager Audit at Ernst & Young.

2012-02-13 - The Europcar Board of Directors met today and announced the appointment of Roland Keppler as Chief Executive Officer, effective February 14, 2012. He succeeds Philippe Guillemot in the post.
Since 2009, Roland Keppler, 47, and the former Chief Executive Officer of TUIfly, has directed Europcar's German subsidiary, which represents approximately 30% of Europcar's revenues. June 02, 2008 // Franchising.com // Europcar Asia Pacific, one of the country's leading car rental companies, has been purchased by its parent company Europcar International for an undisclosed amount.
Europcar International, the European leader in passenger car and light utility vehicle rental, bought the Australian and New Zealand subsidiaries of Europcar, which operates its master franchise within the Asia-Pacific region.
The acquisition gives Europcar International for the first time direct operations in markets outside of Europe.
