Franchise History

In 1992, Anna, Clarine, and Anthony Insinna opened a small child care center in East Amherst, New York, welcoming 24 preschool students and their families to their family business. Word spread quickly about the doodle difference. 'Doodle Bugs!' became synonymous with high quality child care and a commitment to continuous improvement. Put simply, families trusted them to meet their child care needs – and they exceeded their expectations. They're incredibly proud of the ways their family business has grown and improved since they opened their first center. They're equally proud of the fact that their priorities, spelled out in the acronym S.C.O.P.E. (Safe, Clean, Organized, Professional, Educational), have remained consistent. Since 1992, S.C.O.P.E has kept their entire team focused on what matters most. It is truly a pleasure to know that children throughout Western New York now ask for Doodle Bugs! Children's Centers by name. Parents hear, "Look, a Doodle Bug!" and see that their children are captivated by the smiling green face and red antennae that mark the exterior of each center. Everyone immediately knows that there's learning, laughter, and lots of fun within those brightly colored doors!
