Rapid Growth Will Continue Throughout the Year

March 17, 2008 // Franchising.com // Ontario,— The Firkin Group of Pubs continues to validate its tagline as the largest and fastest growing pub chain in North America as it opens 14 new pubs in 2008. The company has already opened four locations this year and has another two planned in the next three weeks in California and Washington.

"Firkin has seen tremendous growth over the past year," says Larry Isaacs, Firkin Director of Marketing. "In 2007 we opened seven pubs in the U.S. and sold multi-unit franchising deals in 10 states. We are very confident that this year we will double that number."

The plan will bring 60 restaurants to nine states in the Midwest. The Marcil Group, a private, self-advised real estate operating company focused on acquisitions in stable, growing markets, expects to open their first Firkin pub in North Dakota by summer of 2008.

Family Plans to Open Five Pubs in Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Cary Areas

January 14, 2008 // Franchising.com // Ontario,—Harshrd and Parag Patel have inked a multi-unit franchise agreement with the Firkin Group of Pubs, one of the largest and fastest growing English pub chains in North America. The father, son team will bring five pubs to North Carolina—the first is scheduled to open in Raleigh in winter 2008.

"When I was researching pub franchises, I was looking for a concept that had a solid business format and would be unique to Central North Carolina," says Parag Patel. "As soon as I came across the Firkin Group of Pubs I knew that they were a perfect fit."

The company currently has 11 open locations in seven states across the country and expects to have 1,000 pubs in development by 2010...

Locals to Develop Four Units in Wichita

June 05, 2007 // Franchising.com // Ontario,— Firkin Group of Pubs, the largest and fastest growing English pub chain in North America, recently inked a multi-unit franchise agreement with Paul and Kari Russell bringing four pubs to Wichita. The husband-wife duo expects to open their first pub by June 2008 in Sedgwick County.

"We are really excited about bringing the Firkin pubs to Sedgwick County," says Kari. "It's a great place that combines both the family aspects of a restaurant with the bar atmosphere of a club or lounge."
