PostNet is a full service, diversified business center concept that is located in high traffic, convenient retail locations and competes directly and effectively with The UPS Store®, FedEx Kinkos® and other pack and ship and print centers. In just 13 short years, PostNet has become the fastest growing and largest privately held company in the postal and business services and printing and copy industries.
Originally a pack and ship concept, PostNet saw an opportunity to diversify it's product and services to appeal to the growing needs of home based, small to medium sized businesses and telecommuters and create a unique an competitive point of differentiation for the brand and concept.
PostNet co-founders Steve Greenbaum and Brian Spindel entered the postal and business center industry in the early 1980s. Greenbaum and Spindel headed an independent development and consulting firm that developed more than 450 independent mail and parcel centers in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and Guam.
In the late 1980s Greenbaum and Spindel decided to start franchising as a means to gain strength in numbers for their clients. They developed the PostNet system and trademarks with an eye toward global franchising. The PostNet franchise program was launched in July 1993 and has grown to more than 500 domestic and 400 international locations including Botswana, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Ireland, Puerto Rico, South Africa and Venezuela.
