July 28, 2010 // Franchising.com // Birmingham, AL --- The coastal themed hotel chain, Key West Inns has added two Southeastern locations bringing the brand total to 23. The new hotels are located in Scottsboro, Alabama and Pensacola, Florida. Both hotels are conversions from other brands. Scottsboro was previously a Comfort Inn and the Pensacola hotel was the Hospitality Inn.

This is the third addition to the chain in recent months. Company President, Neal Jackson sees conversion hotels as a big part of continued success. As a former Key West Inn franchisee, Rick Patel brings seven years of successful KWI operations back to the brand. Along with his Key West Inn experience, Rick has owned a total of three hotels. In Rick's earlier career he served for 16 years as the International Director of Operations for the McDonald's restaurant chain for Europe and Asia.
