June 24, 2008 // Franchising.com // WESTBOROUGH, MA...As an investigations firm specializing in insurance claims, L&W Investigations takes the "private" portion of "private investigations" quite seriously. That goes not only for maintaining a low profile when conducting surveillance, but securely reporting the results to clients. Hence the release of its new, more secure surveillance Web-based reporting system.
The new, Web-based reporting system provides L&W clients with instant access to reports and files pertaining to their case. Password protected, these reports are also secured with 128 bit SSL encryption, the highest level of security an online file can have.

June 12, 2008 // Franchising.com // WESTBOROUGH, MA...Something happened to L&W Investigations on its way to signing its 100th client: clients 101, 102, 103, etc. So the up-and-coming private investigations firm, which specializes in insurance claims, did the next logical thing. L&W saved their announcement for the next milestone number, 125.
"Landing our 125th client represents a lot more to us than building up our clientele. With our network of investigations territories across the U.S. and Canada, as well as in Puerto Rico and the Hawaiian Islands, we're reinventing the way private investigations firms have traditionally operated. So 125 clients means not only a significant amount of business but our national approach to investigating insurance claims is very effective—particularly for clients who have regional offices covering more than one state," Neal Lyons, CEO and chairman of L&W Investigations, Inc...

May 06, 2008 // Franchising.com // WESTBOROUGH, MASSACHUSETTS- There's a common misperception that people who file worker's comp claims are "faking." According to L&W Investigations, a private investigations franchise specializing in insurance fraud, roughly 80 percent of all claims filed are legit, from people genuinely hurt and entitled to a worker's compensation claim.
"That's not to say companies should rubber-stamp every claim, but you shouldn't have a chip on your shoulder that everybody who files is trying to take advantage of the system," said Neal Lyons, CEO and chairman of L&W Investigations, Inc. "There are, however, a number of red flags that can exist in a potentially fraudulent claim and companies should be aware of these tendencies so you can nip the abuse in the bud...
