First Roy Rogers Restaurant Opens in West Virginia

Frederick, MD, April 12, 2007 - "There's a new Roy in town," announces Roy Rogers Restaurants officials as the grand opening of its first restaurant in West Virginia at Potomac Marketplace in Ranson nears. Located off Rte. 9, about a mile north of the Charles Town Raceway and Casino, the grand opening set for Tuesday, April 17, will be marked by a ribbon cutting ceremony with Jefferson County officials at 10:00 am. Doors will officially open to the public beginning at 10:30 am.

"We are thrilled to be introducing our honest to goodness food to the state of West Virginia," said Jim Plamondon, co-president, Roy Rogers Franchise Company and Plamondon Companies. "Our brand is known for its freshness and quality and we are pleased to be part of this growing community."

To celebrate the grand opening, Roy Rogers will be giving the first 100 guests a Free Combo meal for a year (one per week for a total value of $360 per guest) in addition to a 15% reusable card valid through the end of May. All other guests who visit the restaurant on the first day will also receive 15% off their first purchase and the VIP 15% reusuable card, valid through the end of May.



The 3,500 square foot restaurant will be managed by Joey Kessel of Harpers Ferry. His team will include three managers and more than 35 employees from throughout the surrounding area.

Roy Rogers is known for its slow-cooked, USDA choice roast beef, freshly made chicken, great tasting burgers and choice of side dishes. Unique to Roy Roges is its Fixin's Bar, which features a dozen different condiments, like fresh lettuce, tomatoes and onions. In addition to serving lunch and dinner, Roy Rogers offers breakfast items such as cream chipped beef, made from scratch pancakes and crescent sandwiches. In addition to Roy's famouns Fixin's Bar, restaurant amenities include a drive-thru, fireplace, flat screen TV and meeting space.
