Lenny's Sub Shop Now Open in Albuquerque

Franchisee Nat Eppel Opens First of 15 Restaurants in New Mexico

Memphis, TN – Lenny's Sub Shops today announced that the fast-growing sub sandwich franchise has opened its first restaurant in New Mexico. On July 12, 2007, franchisee Nat Eppel opened Lenny's Sub Shop at 2325 San Pedro in Albuquerque. In 2006, Eppel was granted the rights to open 15 Lenny's Sub Shops in New Mexico. He will open his second Lenny's at 801 Unser Blvd. in Rio Rancho in the fall of 2007.

During his first visit to Lenny's, Eppel became an instant fan and believes that the Lenny's motto, More Food, More Taste, More Personality™, is what sets Lenny's apart from the competition.
Eppel, an experienced real estate entrepreneur, fell in love with Lenny's and was looking to develop an entire market in an area like New Mexico, because of its growth and availability.

"I believe Lenny's quality and approach to doing business will make it a hit in any market, including New Mexico," said Eppel, a graduate of Lenny's University, Lenny's own intense training program geared specifically toward franchisees. "Lenny's makes a great sub and serves it up in a great atmosphere, with a friendly staff. People want quality and service, and Lenny's delivers on both."

Lenny's is experiencing fast growth in the western United States. In addition to New Mexico, new restaurants will open in Roseville, CA and Las Vegas, NV. Texas is also a primary market for the franchise, with founder Len Moore spearheading a growth movement in Houston and other franchise groups opening more restaurants in San Antonio and Dallas.

Len and Sheila Moore opened the original Lenny's Sub Shop, a genuine Philadelphia-style sub shop with fresh baked bread and the finest quality deli meat and cheese, in a Memphis suburb in 1998. Lenny's Franchisor Chief Executive Officer George Alvord and private investors acquired ownership of the company from Len Moore in 2004. Lenny's has granted more than 700 franchises in 18 states from California to Virginia.

Recently, Lenny's has opened several restaurants in new markets, including Jackson, MI, and West Palm Beach, FL. In addition they have sold multi-restaurant packages in several states, including California, Indiana, Virginia, Indiana, South Carolina, Michigan and Kansas. Lenny's is scheduled to open hundreds of restaurants in the next few years.
