Cartridge Depot Debuts New Scion xB Corporate Delivery Wagon

Cartridge Depot's Owings Mills headquarters just made the switch to a new corporate delivery vehicle, a Scion xB compact wagon. The reason was simple: the Scion gets a fuel-thrifty 31 mpg in city driving, which is mostly what the company does as it delivers refilled ink and toner cartridges to businesses throughout the Baltimore metropolitan area.
"Our business is all about saving money and saving the environment by recycling and refilling ink and toner cartridges, so it made sense for us to save resources with our delivery vehicle, too," explains Kenneth Blum, Cartridge Depot's CEO. "It takes almost a gallon of oil to make a new laser printer cartridge, so every time we refill a cartridge, that's one gallon we don't use. We liked the fact that the Scion would help us use less oil for fuel, too. It's just a natural continuation of our corporate goal of helping people conserve resources while saving money."
Cartridge Depot refills and remanufactures ink and toner cartridges with their exclusive process for a fraction of the cost – often up to 50% less - of buying new ones. The newly refurbished cartridges are then packed into boxes made with post-consumer recycled materials, adding more environmental savings to the products. The company picks up and delivers ink, toner and fax cartridges for business customers, providing convenience, cost savings and guaranteed quality performance.
The new delivery wagon is emblazoned with customized Cartridge Depot graphics. The company is making the wagon's graphics available to its franchisees throughout the country as well.
