Bear Stearns Appoints Jenny Miller Head of Portfolio Trading Sales For Europe
October 05, 2007 // Franchising.com // London — Bear, Stearns International Limited today announced that it has appointed Jenny Miller as a senior managing director and Head of Portfolio Trading Sales, Europe. Ms. Miller, who starts work for the firm tomorrow, will be responsible for managing the London-based portfolio trading sales team and overseeing the firm's portfolio trading sales business to European institutional and hedge fund clients.
Simon Bird, Head of International Portfolio Trading commented, "Jenny's appointment builds on the significant expertise and experience in our Portfolio Trading business. We believe that bringing Jenny on board to head our European sales team will allow us to further broaden our client base and ensure the continued success of the franchise."
Ms. Miller has 14 years experience in portfolio sales. She joins from Merrill Lynch where she was the head of portfolio sales trading, managing a team covering European institutional and hedge fund clients and was responsible for developing strategies to expand the client-base of the business. She has also worked in portfolio sales at UBS and BZW.
Earlier this year, Richard Bateson also joined the portfolio trading team in Europe as a managing director. Mr. Bateson has 10 years experience in portfolio trading and had worked at JP Morgan in portfolio trading, responsible for risk and flow trading.
