Local Cheyenne Tribal Member to put Montana on the ActionCOACH Map

December 11, 2007 // Franchising.com // - Carol Boettger, ActionCOACH Master Licensee, has named Rodney Trahan as the newest ActionCOACH in Montana.

"Rodney is the first Native American ActionCOACH," Boettger said. "Rodney is going to put Montana on the ActionCOACH map."

Trahan is a Northern Cheyenne tribal member who has always been passionate about his involvement in the tribal community. Most recently, Trahan was the Director of Planned Giving in the fundraising department for St. Labre Indian School in Montana. St. Labre is a private catholic school on the reservation which was in need of funding. Trahan's business sense, drive and wide-network in the community helped raise $8 million in donations for the school last year.

His work has been featured in articles that have appeared in the newsletter for the Direct Mail Association of Washington and he has been featured in the book "Otwarta rana Ameryki" written by renowned Author, Dr. Aleksandra Ziolkowska-Boehm.

"Rodney is an all-around great guy. He is a very intelligent MBA graduate with a savvy business sense. He is ethical and non-judgmental. It is no wonder that he has a wide-network of colleagues and friends," Boettger said.

Boettger continues, "There are 7 reservations in Montana. Rodney's strong ties to the Native American business community will be beneficial to the business community of Montana."

Trahan weighed the pro's and con's and came to the conclusion that becoming a Business Coach with ActionCOACH was the best way for him to achieve his goals and continue to help other community members as he always has in his career choices.

Boettger looks for a number of factors in potential business coaches. "They should have a business background. A person working a corporate job may not even realize that they are coaching on a daily basis," she said.
