Fleet-Washing Franchise Drains Out Competition with Eco-Friendly Process

Former Competitors Partner to Grow Superior Wash as Nation's No. 1 Brand

July 17, 2008 // Franchising.com // FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – After washing more than 45,000 trucks a week and wiping out its competition in at least one state, a fast-growing franchise that devised an environmentally-friendly, water recovery system is reinventing the way America washes its fleets.

Superior Wash's eco-friendly system has become a leader in the fleet-washing industry, servicing Fortune 500 clients such as FedEx, UPS and Budweiser. Founded by two ambitious entrepreneurs who were former independent fleet washing competitors, the 24-hour mobile business-to-business service has developed a new method that uses an innovative gel mat and vacuuming system. The U.S. EPA-approved process removes all of the water used during the washing process to be properly discharged and recycled.

After draining out its competition in Florida, Superior Wash is ready to saturate the nation by 2013. The company operates three corporate and 16 franchise locations in 13 different states, and has announced an aggressive expansion plan to increase its franchise system by two to three locations per month for the next five years.

"We saw a niche and developed a model that is absent in a variety of industry players," said Jodi Scott, co-founder of Superior Wash. "We envision Superior Wash to become the country's No. 1 brand in the segment, as there are no other concepts that deliver services to their clients' backyard as we do, and still be as environmentally-responsible as we are."

Scott, along with his business partner Vincent Garcia, combined more than 25 years of experience in the fleet washing industry when they founded Superior Wash in 2000. After selling their independent companies to one of the largest fleet washing businesses in the nation, the former competitors combined their knowledge and devised the Superior Wash business model that is well positioned for franchise expansion.

With corporate headquarters in Florida that handle all billing matters, its franchisees can focus on customer satisfaction and efficient operations. The franchise opportunity's $60,000 initial investment includes one truck, equipment and offers the flexibility of starting as a home-based business.

"With limited competition in the fleet washing industry, Superior Wash and its lucrative business model presents phenomenal growth opportunities," Garcia said.
