Noodles & Company Makes Its Debut In Glen Ellyn
Neighborhood noodle restaurant hosts 100 percent fundraiser for the Glen Ellyn Public Library
June 08, 2009 // Franchising.com // Chicago - Noodles & Company, the quick-casual, globally inspired noodle restaurant that serves a balanced menu of freshly sautéed Asian, Mediterranean and American cuisine, will open its first restaurant in Glen Ellyn, and 26th location in Illinois, on Thursday, June 11 at 10:30 a.m. The new restaurant will be located at 706 Roosevelt Road.
As part of its grand opening celebration, Noodles & Company will host a pre-opening fundraiser on Wednesday, June 10 to benefit the Glen Ellyn Public Library. The Glen Ellyn Public Library's mission is to provide information and programs that enrich and enhance the quality of life in the Glen Ellyn community.
"We're excited to introduce Noodles & Company to individuals who have 'never noodled.' And for those who have visited one of our restaurants, we welcome you back," said Kevin Reddy, CEO and chairman of Noodles & Company. "It's part of our culture to give back and get to know the communities we serve. We're looking forward to a successful benefit night for the library."
From 5 to 9 p.m., one hundred percent of sales at the new Noodles & Company will be donated to the Glen Ellyn Public Library. Funds raised will be used to support the library's Bus to Books program, which is a summer enrichment program for English as a Second Language (ESL) and financially disadvantaged children of Glen Ellyn. As a part of this program, children and family members are driven to the Glen Ellyn Public Library each week for a one-hour visit, which includes special programming, participation in the summer reading incentive program and the opportunity to check out library books.
