easyhome Ltd. Announces New Chief Financial Officer
MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - July 24, 2009) - easyhome Ltd. (TSX:EH), Canada's leading merchandise leasing company, today announced Chris Fregren, easyhome's current Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer, is leaving the business effective August 16, 2009. Chris was a key player in some of easyhome's most important recent initiatives, including the rapid expansion of its national network, the launch of easyfinancial and the development of the franchising platform in the United States. "We greatly appreciate the dedication, hard work and imagination that Chris brought to easyhome, and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavours", said David Ingram, easyhome President & CEO. Chris has agreed to stay on during this period and work with his replacement to ensure that the transition is smooth and orderly.
As a result of this change, Steve Goertz has been appointed to the position of Senior Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, effective August 16. Steve was formerly Vice President, Finance, for Sobeys Ontario. Steve brings 20 years of experience in finance and accounting roles to easyhome, most notably from companies such as Deloitte & Touche, Natrel, Maple Leaf Foods and Sobeys. He supplements his command of financial control, audit and reporting with experience gained in franchising, business strategy, planning and analysis. Steve is a Chartered Accountant and holds an Honours Degree, Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.
