illuminate gym sponsors 'Fired up for Kids' in the Denver area
August 10, 2009 // Franchising.com // DENVER — illuminate gym, affordable personal training featuring unique High Oxygen Training (HOT), announced today that it is teaming up with 'Fired up for Kids' and the Denver Fire Department to sponsor events and goods to help raise money for the Denver Children's Hospital.
illuminate gym has been a long time donor and supporter of the Denver Fire Department and Denver Police Department so the DFD along with 'Fired up For Kids' approached David Sedbrook, illuminate gym's founder and owner, to help with their efforts to both provide medical care to children who have been burned and to help educate kids about the danger of fire. illuminate gym will specifically be involved with sponsoring an upcoming event in the Denver area where fire fighters (and possibly some personal trainers from illuminate gym) will be auctioned off for the cause. Later this year a calendar will be produced for 2010 where all proceeds will go to 'Fired up for Kids' and the Children's Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
In the Denver community it was shocking to some that David Sedbrook, the owner and founder would support such an event as he begins aggressively trying to build the illuminate brand as a franchise. When asked about this David said, "We are trying to grow our business at this time but it's important that we continue to support and give back to the community that has given us so much. Here at illuminate we also want to become an example for our future franchise owners by getting involved with programs that not only promote our business but also help the community. At illuminate gym our goal is to 'illuminate' every community we get involved with… and sometimes that goal is about giving more than you get in return…knowing in the long run it will find its way back to us here at illuminate gym."
David Sedbrook has also made it clear that the charitable actions of illuminate gym are indicative of how he wants to grow the illuminate gym franchise opportunities. "I know as our franchise grows we will have to give more than we receive to ensure the success of our future franchise owners, but at this point in our company's development we want to ensure that our brand is carried on and developed in the right fashion… Meaning our franchisees success is everything to us."
