Nurse Next Door Named Most Innovative Workplace by YWCA Vancouver
Named as the most innovative workplace by YWCA Vancouver, the rapidly growing home-care company was recognized for encouraging both personal-development and healthy lifestyles for each of their staff members.
Vancouver, Canada --(PR.com)-- Since 1984 The Women of Distinction Awards have honored workplaces that continue to demonstrate their diversity and creativity in supporting the needs of their employees. Having been nominated as a finalist in 2009, Nurse Next Door was again honored at the annual Women of Distinction awards but this time they were awarded.
Named as the most innovative workplace by YWCA Vancouver, the rapidly growing home-care company was recognized for encouraging both personal-development and healthy lifestyles for each of their staff members.

Coined by Nurse Next Door as the "mommy shift," the 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 pm work shift allows mothers to be there for their children when they're needed most. The shift ensures that Nurse Next Door caregivers receive a healthy balance between their work and family life.
In addition to being recognized for the "mommy shift," Nurse Next Door was also honored for its emergency on-site child care arrangements, structured mentorship programs, and the recent implementation of the Dreams Program which focuses on helping staff achieve their personal dreams.
