Order in Italian, Give Your Cashier a High Five or Be Rewarded for Just Having a Good Hair Day; Customers Set Out to Collect 12 Stamps to Receive Free Medio Paciugo Pack
September 03, 2010 // Franchising.com // DALLAS – Paciugo Gelato & Caffè is inviting customers on a sweet travel journey that offers big rewards and freebies.
Starting Labor Day weekend, Paciugoites can stop by any participating Paciugo Gelato & Caffè nationwide to fill-out an in-store "Pledge" to become a Good Citizen of Paciugo and receive a Paciugo Passaporto stamp booklet that mimics a real-life travel passport. The Paciugo Passaporto contains 12 sweet tasks that customers perform in order to receive a stamp. These include ordering in Italian, giving the cashier a high-five, wearing mismatched socks and even "busting a move" while waiting in line. Once customers collect all 12 stamps, they receive a Free Medio Paciugo Pack, which contains four flavors of gelato and serves up to 10.

The Passaporto program launches as Paciugo Gelato & Caffè celebrates its 10th Anniversary. Cristiana, along with her husband Ugo and son Vincenzo, moved from their hometown of Torino, Italy to Dallas, Texas to pursue their entrepreneurial dream of opening an authentic Italian gelateria in America. Today, there are more than 40 neighborhood gelaterie throughout the nation, with a substantial amount of new shops under development.
Paciugo Gelato & Caffè freshly handcrafts more than 30 flavors each morning in small batches, using wholesome ingredients such as whole pasteurized milk, cane sugar, hand-squeezed fruit juices and seasonal fruit from local farmers, chocolate from Belgium and Italian hazelnuts, pistachios and candied amarene cherries.
In addition to gelato, the brand's menu features all-natural, 100% Arabica coffees and espresso-based drinks, as well as gelato-based specialty drinks and desserts, and premium hot chocolate.
