Auntie Anne's(R) Pretzels Franchise Anticipates Opening in Poland

Master Franchise Agreement Signed with Bachleda Investment Group Ltd.

LANCASTER, Pa. – Auntie Anne's, the world's largest hand-rolled soft pretzel chain will soon be opening in the Republic of Poland with the signing of a master franchise agreement. The agreement provides Bachleda Investment Group Ltd development rights to bring Auntie Anne's signature products to the eighth-largest population in Europe.

The first Auntie Anne's store location in Poland is scheduled to open in the country's capital, Warsaw, in early 2011. The development plan lists Krakow and Zakopane as the next two cities targeted for Auntie Anne's stores.

Bachleda Investment Group, a family-owned company, has an extensive background in the management of retail brands. They developed Bachleda Fashion Street in Zakopane and are the sole distributor of Carmex lip balm for Poland. Recently, Bachleda Investment Group became the licensee for Carolina Herrera, a Spanish luxury fashion brand, opening the first flagship store this summer.

Auntie Anne's has nearly 1,100 locations spanning the U.S., Egypt, Bahrain, Mexico, Canada, China, England, Greece, Honduras, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Northern Ireland, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Venezuela,, and the Republic of Ireland. November 18, marks the official grand opening of a store in Tokyo, Japan.
