Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries to open in Alabama

April 27, 2011 // Franchising.com // Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries, a Maryland-based fast casual chain with development deals signed for Delaware, Michigan, New Jersey, Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, California, Oregon, and Virginia, bringing expansion plans to total more than 200 stores in the works, has announced its newest franchisees, Frank and Theresa Limas, who will soon be opening their first location in Alabama.

Frank Limas grew up in California, farming for over 21 years. Having sold his ranch, he ventured into real estate and owns the building where Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries will open. When asked why he chose the concept, Frank replied, "I did some initial research on the Internet on several concepts. My decision was based on a variety of considerations, such as cost and menu; but at the top of the list was the accessibility to the "boss" of the company. It was a pleasure to be able to speak directly to the President of the company, and I felt welcomed and informed from those conversations." The Limas plan to open two more stores in Alabama.

Dave DiFerdinando, President of Boardwalk Fresh Burger and Fries, states that Limas' Alabama Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries will be the chain's first location to have a drive through, and open 24 hours. "We are very excited to have Frank and Theresa Limas on board, and are looking forward to their opening on Eastchase Loop in Montgomery, Alabama. The expansion we have been experiencing over the past several months has been unprecedented for us. We are continually working with new prospective franchisees for further development across the United States, and beyond. Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries certainly welcomes the Limas as part of that continued growth, taking our concept into the Alabama market."

The chain's core menu items include fresh ground beef patties, fresh cut Boardwalk Fries, grilled chicken breasts, and chicken tenders. All sandwiches and fries are made to order, never frozen, and always with the freshest of ingredients.

Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries, in conjunction with its sister company, Boardwalk Fries, are participating in the celebration of thirty years of business this year, having begun Boardwalk Fries in 1981. Boardwalk Fresh Burgers and Fries was developed from that original concept in 2007. The Burger concept continues the tradition and recipe for its nationally famous Boardwalk Fries, a brand name that has become synonymous with French fries.
