Snap Fitness Franchise Announces Are You 'Fit' to Be a Franchise Owner?

Snap Fitness CEO Peter Taunton Launches 'Partner with Peter' Contest;
Set to Award One Deserving Contestant with Free Fitness Franchise

June 15, 2011 // Franchising.com // CHANHASSEN, Minn. - The entrepreneurial spirit around the country is about to 'warm-up' and hit the gym. Peter Taunton, Founder and CEO of Snap Fitness, the world's fastest-growing franchisor of 24/7 express fitness centers, announces the launch of his "Partner with Peter" contest that will award one aspiring entrepreneur a free fitness franchise.

Kicking-off June 15, 2011, contestants visiting www.petertaunton.com can enter to win by providing their contact information, along with a brief essay explaining why they would make an ideal owner of a Snap Fitness franchise. Following the submission deadline on August 15, 2011, 25 semi-finalists will be chosen based on quality of submission. Of those selected, three finalists will be chosen by a Snap Fitness review panel, and will then participate in an in-person interview with Taunton, who will determine the winner of the fitness franchise.

Additionally, spotlight videos of all the finalists will be posted on the Snap Fitness Facebook page and www.petertaunton.com, allowing the public to show their support for the contestant they feel is most deserving.

"Whether a seasoned entrepreneur or someone looking to get into business for the first time, this contest presents a great opportunity for anyone with a driven, entrepreneurial mindset," said Taunton. "As an entrepreneur myself, I know the importance of guidance for anyone embarking on a new business venture. This contest gives me a great chance to pass along my knowledge and business experience to one deserving individual."

The grand prize will include all costs associated with a new fitness franchise, including franchise fee, build out, equipment, site selection and initial rent and working capital, estimated at a value of up to $250,000.

While Snap Fitness offers the same quality equipment as traditional health and fitness clubs, the booming brand is setting industry standards by focusing on complete member wellness and providing a host of products and services designed to give members better results and more value for their money. By scaling down in size and eliminating unnecessary amenities such as swimming pools and racquetball courts, Snap Fitness offers customers a quality, affordable gym workout with strong emphasis on customer service and convenience.
