Milio’s Sandwiches Offers Mediterranean Sandwich Trio For Limited Time Only

May 14, 2012 // Franchising.com // Madison, Wis. - A privileged few of us are lucky enough to jet off to Greece or Malta for the summer, but for those left behind Milio’s Sandwiches is reintroducing their popular Mediterranean sandwich trio, which will be available systemwide between May 21 and Aug. 12.

The trio consists of the veggie hummus supreme and the turkey titan, both featuring black olives and Milio’s original red pepper hummus, and the Mediterranean beef, featuring a spicy Mediterranean relish. Each sandwich will be available for $5.29.

“Our Mediterranean trio was extremely popular last summer,” said Mike Liautaud, founder and president of Milio’s. “We are excited to be able to bring back the old favorites.”

Milio’s Sandwiches is a franchised, quick-service sub chain featuring unique and delicious sandwiches made only with fresh-sliced premium meats, vegetables and cheeses and bread baked fresh in each store. Both dine-in and delivery are available along with an online ordering system. Milio’s began as “Big Mike’s Super Subs” in 1989 when it opened on the University of Wisconsin—Madison campus. The success of the original chain led to the launch of a franchising program in 2004, and the name was changed to Milio’s Sandwiches the following year.

Milio’s distinguishes itself from competitors with a corporate culture that genuinely puts the customer first by teaching the importance of a satisfied customer on every visit. Strong community support and involvement is also an important part of the Milio’s philosophy.

About Milio’s Sandwiches

There are more than 40 Milio’s Sandwiches locations in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska. Thirty-two stores are company owned. The company expects to have an additional six stores either open or in development by the end of 2012. Milio’s expects to sell 200 franchised stores—and have 90 of those open—within five years. Growth is targeted for nine Midwestern states through multi-unit developers who have the resources to open at least three to five stores in designated markets.
