Wingstop Ready for Takeoff in Oregon

Rapidly-Expanding Wing Chain Signs Multi-Unit Agreement to Open 12 Locations in Pacific Northwest

June 19, 2012 // Franchising.com // RICHARDSON, Texas – Wingstop is flying high in Oregon! The 515-unit wing chain announced today the company has signed a multi-unit development agreement to open 12 new restaurants throughout the state of Oregon.

Wingstop hosted an open house event last winter where franchise candidates had an opportunity to meet with company executives and learn more about expansion in Oregon. Now, just four months later, Wingstop has signed a 12-store agreement with D&T Wings, LLC to develop restaurants in Oregon, including locations in Portland, Multnomah, Clackamas, Bend, Eugene, Springfield, Medford as well as Boise City, Idaho.

Wingstop currently has one location in Southeast Portland. The first location under the new development agreement with D&T Wings is expected to open in Portland next year.

“Wingstop found an excellent multi-unit partner in D&T Wings. We are extremely excited to welcome them aboard as a franchise brand partner,” said Bev Rich, senior director of franchise sales for Wingstop. “Our Portland restaurant has a loyal following, and now, with this new agreement, we will bring Wingstop’s fresh, made-to-order products to even more wing fans across the state.”

With a sole focus on cooked-to-order chicken, the Wingstop menu features traditional and boneless wings, strips and Glider sandwiches, all sauced and tossed in 10 flavors. Homemade side dishes include seasoned fries, which are cut fresh daily from Idaho potatoes.
