Wait Nearly Over for "Caniacs" in Cedar Park!

CEDAR PARK, TX (August 22, 2012) – Chicken finger lovers passing by the Raising Cane’s restaurant under construction adjacent to Cedar Park Center can practically taste the premium tenderloins, crinkle-cut fries, Texas Toast, sweet tea and, of course, that secret recipe Cane’s sauce already.

Fortunately, they won’t have to let their imaginations do the work much longer. Cane’s is set to open its first restaurant in Cedar Park at 10:30 AM on Thursday, September 13th.

The Cedar Park location at 1456 E. Whitestone Blvd. will be Cane’s 1st restaurant in the Austin area, the 37th in Texas, and the 132nd overall across 16 states.

Operator Ryan Rasberry, who has worked with Raising Cane’s for more than four years – most recently helping to successfully open the new Beaumont restaurant – is just as eager to open his doors as the rest of us.

“Excitement is building in Cedar Park, and really all across the Austin area, for our newest location,” said Rasberry. “It’s so cool when perfect strangers see me in my Cane’s shirt and ask me when we’re going to be open. I love it!”

Known for its ONE LOVE® – quality chicken finger meals – Raising Cane’s is in the midst of a rapid expansion across Texas and other states. The company is a recognized industry leader in customer service and is distinguished by its generous support of the communities it serves.

On September 7th, from 8:00 AM to noon, Rasberry and his crewmembers will be working with the Cedar Park Parks & Recreation Department to clear brush and lay stone paths for new benches to be installed at Cedar Bark Park.

“The culture at Raising Cane’s revolves around active support of our local communities, so you can expect to see us getting involved quite a bit in Cedar Park’s schools and other non-profit organizations over the coming months and years,” said Rasberry.

A grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony will be conducted at the restaurant at 9:30 AM on September 13th, in conjunction with the Cedar Park Chamber of Commerce. First-time visitors to the ceremonies are in for a treat, as 45-50 newly hired crewmembers will be performing their traditional cheers and other high-energy chants to launch the new location in unique Cane’s fashion.

Doors will open to the public at 10:30 AM. The first 100 dine-in customers will receive a commemorative Cedar Park Cane’s T-shirt, along with a voucher for a free Box Combo that may be redeemed on a subsequent visit. (The voucher is not valid on Opening Day.) In many expansion markets, customers camp out overnight to be among the first to enjoy Cane’s offerings.

Between September 13 and 20, Cedar Park customers will also be invited to participate in the company’s “Give Back Giveaway” tradition, in which one customer will win a $1,000 donation to his or her local charity of choice, along with free Cane’s for a year.

Earlier this year, Cane’s outstanding customer service was recognized by Sandelman & Associates’ Quick-Track study as one of the nation’s best among quick-service restaurants, for the fifth consecutive year. The company placed second for best overall service among 150 chains, and earned top honors for temperature of food, accuracy in filling orders and restaurant cleanliness.
