Executive Care Expands Home Care Services Across Central New Jersey

Experienced Entrepreneurial Team Bringing New Jersey-Based Home Care Concept to Monmouth, Middlesex and Ocean Counties

June 12, 2013 - FREEHOLD, N.J. - Executive Care announced today the opening of its new office servicing Monmouth, Middlesex and Ocean Counties. Centrally located off Route 9, 79 and I-195, at 958 Adelphia Road in Freehold, N.J., the location will serve Central New Jersey residents seeking skilled nursing and home health aid services.

Senen Cabalfin and Jeff Wolf, the entrepreneurs launching the business, have forged a partnership through a shared experience working to make the lives of seniors and people with disabilities more comfortable. After years as a full-time nurse, Cabalfin created Special Care Community Services, a nonprofit that provides support, services, and resources to individuals with developmental disabilities and their families in New Jersey and across state lines. Wolf is a former Wall Street financial expert who transitioned in the early 2000s to business ownership. As the president of Mobility Consulting & Contracting Co., Inc., Wolf oversees a company that modifies the homes of people with disabilities to make in-home living more manageable.

Wolf and Cabalfin joined forces two years ago to develop group homes for the state of New Jersey. They jointly own a nonprofit called Mobility Special Care Housing Inc., which is a housing provider for people with disabilities in New Jersey.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with a full-service home care franchise from New Jersey with a proven business model and deep understanding of the critical role home care is playing in the lives of millions of Americans,” Wolf said. “We firmly believe in Executive Care's core values and found it to be the best home care franchise fit for us. Our business is bringing an improved, coordinated level of care to the communities in Monmouth, Middlesex and Ocean Counties so that families here in central New Jersey can find the comfort they need for themselves and their loved ones.”

Sensitive to the caregiving needs of those with illnesses and the local aging population, Wolf and Cabalfin feel individuals should receive care where they are most comfortable — in their home. With their investment in Executive Care, the business team is bringing to Central New Jersey a new level of skilled and non-medical care.

“This is more than just a business endeavor for me — providing human services has been a way of life for me ever since I graduated nursing school,” said Cabalfin, who first learned about business by observing her ice cream-selling mother as a young girl in the Philippines. Cabalfin completed her nursing degree and moved to the United States with her husband in the early 1980s, where she had an opportunity to spread her entrepreneurial wings. She later completed her masters of science in nursing administration, and was awarded a grant through the New Jersey Department of Human Services to work with developmentally disabled individuals. Additionally, Cabalfin has owned and managed residential health care facilities in South and Central Jersey.

Wolf, who had an epiphany moment a few years ago after his company installed a bathroom modification for a boy paralyzed in a Little League injury, embraces the all encompassing spirit of Executive Care’s service offerings.

“Executive Care is a family-run business that understands in-home care serves everyone, from young children to aging adults,” Wolf said. “As a family man, I can relate to how the company is doing business and building its base of customers — creating organic, lasting relationships in the communities it serves.”

Wolf and Cabalfin aim to bring up to 100 new jobs to the region in the next two years, and are looking to expand the home care agency’s reach further south, into Maryland and Virginia in the months ahead.

“We’re extremely excited to welcome Senen and Jeff into our Executive Care family,” co-founder of the company Lenny Verkhoglaz said. “Given its demographics and growth potential, we consider Central New Jersey a premier area to expand our home care services — and we’re thrilled to have these two talented people at the helm for this expansion.”

Established in 2004, Executive Care offers a variety of caregiving and skilled nursing services to help families often overwhelmed with the responsibility of providing care to a loved one — all while ensuring the patient remains in the comfort of his or her own home. In a crowded sector, the company has built a reputation from the ground up.

To ensure the highest quality, Executive Care requires all prospective caregivers undergo an intensive pre-employment screening process, including a criminal background investigation, verification of references and an employment history check. All caregivers are insured, experienced and undergo skills tests and continuing education training. Registered nurses closely supervise and monitor all staff, conducting periodic evaluation assessments.
