September 19, 2013 // Franchising.com // WINTER PARK, Fla. - Sonny’s BBQ® is ready to take taste buds for a wild ride that’s easy on the pocketbook with its ‘Q For Two promotion that offers a shared appetizer and two entrees for one low price.
The limited-time promotion runs from Sept. 16 to Oct. 27 at participating Sonny’s BBQ locations.
We’re not talking just any appetizers. Sonny’s BBQ pitmasters have come up with a tasty twist on two traditional appetizers that offer a fusion of traditional melt-in-your-mouth barbecue goodness with an Asian or Mexican flare.
Redneck Egg Rolls are a mix of pulled pork, coleslaw and Jack cheese that is rolled into an egg roll and fried served with a smoky ranch dipping sauce. BBQ Nachos blend nacho chips with pulled chicken, queso, tomato and corn drizzled with Sonny’s Signature Sweet Sauce.
“An important part of the barbecue culture is experimenting to come up with new and delicious taste combinations,” said Sonny’s BBQ COO and Executive Pitmaster Brandon Manly. “We’ve certainly accomplished that with our new Redneck Egg Rolls and BBQ Nachos.”
The ‘Q For Two promotion lets customers share any of four appetizers — Redneck Egg Rolls, BBQ Nachos and, for traditionalists, corn nuggets or fried okra — plus two full-sized dinner entrees chosen from pulled pork, pulled chicken, sliced pork, beef brisket, half chicken or smoked turkey.
With 125 locations throughout the southeast, Sonny’s BBQ® is one of the largest and most popular barbecue restaurant companies in the country. Headquartered in Winter Park, Fla., the restaurants employ more than 6,700 people. Sonny’s was founded by Floyd “Sonny” Tillman in 1968 in Gainesville, Fla. Just as it was then, today Sonny’s trademark is serving up great, slow-cooked food fast and friendly. In 1991, Robert Yarmuth, a longtime Sonny’s franchisee from Kentucky, purchased the Sonny’s chain and today serves as Sonny’s BBQ Chairman and CEO.
