CUPS Frozen Yogurt – That's Hot ™ Expands New York Footprint With Huntington Station Opening on October 15

4th New York Location to Open in the Past Year; Free Fro-yo from 4-7 pm on October 15 at Huntington Station CUPS

October 11, 2013 // Franchising.com // Huntington Station, NY – CUPS Frozen Yogurt – That's Hot™, the wildly popular beach-themed self-serve fro-yo concept, will celebrate the grand opening of its 4th New York location on Tuesday, October 15 at Walt Whitman Shops, 160 Walt Whitman Road, in Huntington Station, New York. CUPS Huntington Station opens to the public at 4 pm and will be offering free frozen yogurt from 4-7 pm.

Huntington Station is the 4th New York CUPS location and second on Long Island (Carle Place). Other locations include recently opened Nanuet as well as Yonkers.

During grand opening week, each Huntington Station customer will be given a "scratch off" card, which contains prizes such as iPhone covers, blankets, pens, glow-in-the-dark wristbands and CUPS coupons. One lucky winner will receive free fro-yo for a year.

Since opening the first CUPS in Clifton, New Jersey in 2010, CUPS has taken the fro-yo industry by storm, becoming the local hot spot for teenagers and adults alike who make their own fro-yo concoctions choosing from 24 yogurt flavors and over 50 different toppings and three sauces.

The Exchange, a popular Yahoo Finance blog, recently named CUPS as one of "The Most Popular Fast-Food Outlets You Haven't Heard Of (Yet)." With 19 locations in New York, New Jersey, California and Florida, CUPS has signed more than 12 area development agreements representing approximately 30 franchise units.

According to CUPS co-founder Rick Barbrick, CUPS is much more than great frozen yogurt; CUPS was designed around the experience.

"It's more of a club like experience. We pump out club dance music at volumes that create a highly energetic vibe, a lounge-type design with couches, ottomans and eclectic murals; and Cast Members with infectiously fun personalities. It's the complete experience that gives us that edgy vibe versus an everyday yogurt bar or ice cream shop experience," said Barbrick.
