October 15, 2013 - QUEBEC, Canada and MCLEAN, Va. - DoubleTree by Hilton today announced the opening of DoubleTree by Hilton Gatineau-Ottawa, marking entry of Hilton Worldwide's globally-renowned hotel brand into the Canadian province of Quebec. Formerly the Château Cartier, the stunning landmark located in the National Capital Region unveils an updated look and enhanced amenities following an 18-month, $3 million revamp of the hotel's guest rooms, public areas and amenities. The hotel is owned and managed by Ken Pierre Investment LPD.

"We are delighted to introduce guests to our new look and name as a part of the distinguished DoubleTree by Hilton brand," said George Chaiban, general manager - DoubleTree by Hilton Gatineau-Ottawa. "Guests have long known our hotel and dedicated team for our commitment to delivering first-class service in an upscale environment. As the newest hotel within the DoubleTree by Hilton portfolio, we look forward to enhancing this experience further for our guests, starting with the warm chocolate chip cookie greeting and extending through every touch point of our guests' stay."

Ideally-suited for special events, the hotel offers over 21,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space, including 19 meeting rooms and first-class catering and event planning teams. Available for various types of events, a 6,302 sq. ft.
