November 07, 2013 // Franchising.com // WACO, Texas – The Dwyer Group, a franchisor of seven service-based franchise brands, announced the appointment of Pamela D. Harper to the position of vice president of marketing, effective immediately.
She succeeds Chris Mellon who left The Dwyer Group to pursue other opportunities.
Harper has served as senior director of marketing at The Dwyer Group since 2012. In her new role she will oversee a team of 49 people offering marketing and communications support across the service brands.
According to Mike Bidwell, president and chief operating officer of The Dwyer Group, Harper was selected based on her extensive knowledge and experience in the marketing field and within the trades services.
"Pam has been an essential leader in supporting and further developing our brands while creating an atmosphere for learning and collaboration at The Dwyer Group," said Bidwell. "She is a valuable member of our team and will take our marketing goals to a new level across all our service brands as we continue to move towards our goal of becoming a one-billion-dollar company in annual system-wide sales."
Harper began her franchising experience while serving as the marketing director for Martin Franchises Inc. (One Hour Martinizing), before going on to serve in a variety of marketing and advertising roles with several national brands within the service trades industry.
From supporting brands such as Service Experts – owned (at the time) by Lennox International, to ARS/Rescue Rooter – owned (at the time) by Service Master, Harper has utilized her marketing expertise and collaboration skills to produce measurable growth results, Bidwell noted. Prior to joining The Dwyer Group, Harper was the owner and president of a marketing and advertising consulting firm that worked with residential and commercial service contractors throughout the United States.
"Marketing has always been a passion of mine and I could not ask for a better team to be a part of than the one at The Dwyer Group," said Harper.
Harper received a degree in communications from the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point.
