ATLANTA – 26 November, 2013 - InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) [LON:IHG, NYSE:IHG (ADRs)], today announced the opening of West Bay Beach, a Holiday Inn Resort® hotel adding to its growing portfolio of vacation destinations. Located on the shores of West Grand Traverse Bay in Northern Michigan, the property re-opened this month as a Holiday Inn Resort brand hotel following a $6 million renovation. The Holiday Inn Resort brand now boasts nearly 40 locations across the globe.

Located in Traverse City, Mich., the four-story, 140,000 sq. foot property has 179 rooms including some KidSuites® rooms that feature bunk beds and a kids TV area with a gaming console. Within walking distance to downtown Traverse City, the hotel offers 500 feet of prime beachfront access to West Grand Traverse Bay as well as an on-site marina equipped with boat and personal watercraft rentals, bicycle rentals and the largest catamaran – the Nauticat – on the Great Lakes, which leaves the hotel dock three times a day for cruises on West Bay. The resort location offers access to the TART trail system, enabling visitors to enjoy outdoor hiking on one of Northern Michigan’s popular trails.
