Ann Connor of AdviCoach Receives Crystal Award from WEBB Women Empowered By Business

New Hampshire Business Owner Awarded for Outstanding Success as Female Entrepreneur and Mentor

December 12, 2013 // Franchising.com // KEENE, N.H. – Every year, WEBB Women Empowered By Business®, an organization designed to support, encourage and empower women to go into business and to grow their business, recognizes select female entrepreneurs for their exceptional success and mentorship to other women in business. For her outstanding achievement, mentorship effort and work ethic, Ann Connor, owner of the AdviCoach® in Keene, N.H., was awarded with the WEBB Crystal award.

WEBB's mission is to promote successful entrepreneurship among women by providing opportunities and resources designed to educate, empower, and enlighten them as they embrace the challenges of business ownership. The organization presents the WEBB Crystal award each year to women within its network who exemplify this mission by mentoring women entrepreneurs in their local communities as well as WEBB members.

Prior to investing in AdviCoach, a premier source for business coaching and advisory services, Connor served as a Senior Buyer for the retailer Sam's Club and other large organizations. While she enjoyed her work, and had built success in the retail industry, Connor wanted to pursue a career that allowed for more autonomy and thus began an independent company whose purpose was to develop new products for a variety of retail companies.

Connor later made the decision to relocate to New Hampshire where she chose to re-enter the corporate world. Yet, after finding success as an entrepreneur, Connor struggled to find enjoyment in the corporate environment and left her job to find a new path. After meeting with a business coach at The Entrepreneur's Source®, Connor discovered the AdviCoach opportunity and invested in a New Hampshire and Massachusetts AdviCoach license to operate the franchise in 2008.

"The first six months with AdviCoach were tough," said Connor. "Due to my previous success in retail buying, I thought that I was at the top of my game, but I was wrong. I had to humble myself and embrace the AdviCoach system and the tools for success they provided me. I am so grateful for the award because it's really a testament to the hard work I have put in to get here."

In 2011, Connor and her partner Michelle Connor expanded their business adding five more units through-out New England. In addition to her success with AdviCoach, she has also been recognized as The Readers' Choice as Best Business Coach in Mondanock region for four years running and provides coaching services for two local Chambers of Commerce, the Hannah Grimes Center for Entrepreneurship and the Center for Women & Enterprise.
