Wingstop Lands in Downey

The 'Wing Experts' now saucing and tossing at 8558 Firestone Blvd.

January 07, 2014 // Franchising.com // DALLAS – Wingstop, the award-winning chain with over 600 units is expanding its Los Angeles presence. Today, the 'Wing Experts' announce the opening of another location in Downey, California at 8558 Firestone Blvd.

Wingstop in Downey is owned and operated by Wingstop Brand Partner Daniel Sonenshine of Far West Restaurant Group, LLC. This is his 25th Wingstop location in the Golden State.

"This is truly a milestone in my franchising career, and I am happy to have the opportunity to own and operate 25 successful Wingstop locations," Sonenshine said. "It has been a remarkable journey to work with Wingstop and I'm proud of our team's accomplishments since opening our first location in Bell Gardens eight years ago."

With more than 70 locations in Southern California and wings becoming more popular than ever, Sonenshine plans to continue his expansion throughout Southern California. According to a National Chicken Council study, nearly four out of five Americans claim to eat chicken wings.

The Wingstop menu features classic and boneless wings, made fresh to order in ten intense flavors including Lemon Pepper, Garlic Parmesan and Original Hot. Sides are made fresh daily including hand-cut seasoned fries, made from #1 Idaho potatoes, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad and famous house made ranch and bleu cheese dips.
