Planet Fitness to Open First Club in Michigan City, Indiana on February 3

Fastest-growing health club in US continues expansion with new 22,000-square foot facility in Marquette Mall

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. - Jan. 9, 2014 // PRNewswire // - Planet Fitness, the nation's leading franchisor of low-price/high-value gyms, announced the grand opening of a new club in Michigan City at 4067 South Franklin Street, located in the Marquette Mall, and will be offering pre-sale memberships for just $1 Down. The official grand opening is scheduled for Monday, February 3rd, which will mark the chain's first location in Michigan City and its eighteenth opening in the state of Indiana.

The space in Marquette Mall has been completely gutted and transformed into a state-of-the-art club facility. When open, the 22,000 square-foot club will be fully staffed and open 24-hours five days a week, 7am-7pm on weekends, and will feature an extensive selection of cardio equipment including treadmills, ellipticals, arc trainers, and stationary bikes. Every cardio machine is connected to an entertainment system consisting of multiple widescreen HD televisions. Planet Fitness also offers upper and lower body strength machines, a 30-minute PF Express circuit, and a 12-minute ab circuit. The Michigan City club includes a PF Spa, with multi-level tanning, Red Light therapy booths, HydroMassage® beds and massage chairs. Plus, a certified fitness trainer will be on staff weekdays, at no additional charge.
