Joseph DiRago Joins FaegreBD's Real Estate Practice

January 27, 2014 // Franchising.com // Boulder - Faegre Baker Daniels is pleased to announce that Joseph DiRago has joined its real estate practice as an associate. He will handle litigation and transactions for clients across a variety of industries.

On the transactional side, DiRago will represent clients in lease negotiations, property acquisitions related to business expansion or relocation, land use, financings and mergers and acquisitions. As litigation counsel, he will handle title disputes, commercial lease provisions, payment of construction costs, and real estate-related bankruptcy hearings.

Prior to joining FaegreBD, DiRago was an associate with the energy practice at Locke Lord in Houston, Texas, where he represented upstream, midstream and oilfield service companies in state, federal and bankruptcy litigation and transactions. He'll lend this expertise to oil and gas matters as a member of FaegreBD's energy and natural resources industry group.

DiRago is a 2004 graduate from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he was magna cum laude and served as associate editor of the Elder Law Journal. He earned his bachelor's degree in political science, also graduating magna cum laude, from Drake University in 2001.
