Dickey's Barbecue Pit Celebrates New Location in Omaha

Hot Pit Smoked Barbecue Comes to Nebraska

OMAHA, Neb. - Feb. 7, 2014 // PRNewswire // - The new Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Omaha will open on Thursday, February 13at 11:00a.m. and the first 50 customers will receive a gift card for up to $50.

"I am excited to bring something new to the Omaha community," said local owner Joe Nguyen. "There's nothing like it, and locals will love having authentic Texas barbecue in Omaha."

Friday will be a day of merchandise giveaways. On Saturday, the day kicks off with radio station 103.7 FM from noon to 2:00p.m. and this location will be serving $2 Pulled Pork Barbecue sandwiches. One lucky winner will get a $500 gift card good at any Dickey's Barbecue Pit.

Prior to owning a Dickey's Barbecue Joe Nguyen was a social worker. He wanted to bring slow smoked authentic barbecue to the Omaha area and plans to open more locations in the future.
