Norway Lobster Bites Are Back (And Better Than Ever) at Long John Silver's Delectable, Bite-Sized Morsels Are Made From 100% Norway Lobster Tail

February 24, 2014 // Franchising.com // LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Long John Silver's, the world's largest quick service seafood company, today announced the return of Norway Lobster Bites to its menu of fish, chicken, and tasty sides and desserts. Norway Lobster Bites - a new twist on a fan favorite that has not been available since 2009 - are made of 100 percent Norway Lobster tail wild caught from the North Atlantic.

Norway Lobster Bites are the latest in a line of products introduced by Long John Silver's as part of its evolution to become a more contemporary, relevant seafood brand. Earlier this month Long John Silver's launched a multi-pronged campaign encouraging Americans to "Think Fish" and advocating for increased consumption of seafood in the United States (http://bit.ly/1bMOkdh).

"Norway Lobster Bites are back and better than ever," said Charles St. Clair, Chief Marketing Officer for Long John Silver's. "These bite-sized morsels are made of 100 percent Norway Lobster Tail and shelled by hand before they are cooked in a tasty, light breading that delivers the perfect buttery, crunch. They're an irresistible addition to a menu that is evolving to be more relevant to today's consumer."

Norway Lobster Bites contain no additives and, like all fried foods at Long John Silvers, are cooked in pure soybean oil that contains zero grams of trans fat.

Guests can enjoy Norway Lobster Bites at participating stores in a Shooter portion for $1.99 or Snack Box for $3.99. Prices may vary.

Norway Lobster Bites follow the January release of Dippin' Fish Strips - a new, more portable way to enjoy the classic batter-dipped goodness of Long John Silver's fish - and the Ciabatta Jack Sandwich - a premium fish or chicken sandwich served on warm ciabatta bread - in September 2013.

Norway Lobster Bites are available in participating stores through the end of April.
