Caring Transitions Franchise in Frisco, TX Earns Recognition

Frisco, TX (PRWEB) March 25, 2014 - In the 18 months since Rex and Nancy Norris opened Caring Transitions of Frisco, the two have worked to help train new owners, served as a go-to for potential franchise buyers and teamed with the corporate office to improve the franchise's tools.

That's why Rex and Nancy were recently named Caring Transition's Co-Rookies of the Year.

The Rookie of the Year designation is awarded to newer franchise owners who have demonstrated a dedication to the success of their business and to the success of the Caring Transitions brand. They are owners who have worked to lay a solid foundation for their business while contributing to the Caring Transitions community. This year's recognition was given to two new franchises – Caring Transitions of Frisco, Texas and Caring Transitions of South Denver.

"Rex and Nancy have truly showed a dedication to their business and the Caring Transitions Community. Participating in the New Franchisee Training every month and putting new franchisees minds at ease by telling them what to expect shows a true commitment to the development of the Caring Transitions system. In addition to helping with new and potential franchises, Rex has been a part of developing the Caring Transitions Estimating Program, known as the CT Accelerator, which we use to provide potential clients with accurate information about their household liquidation and or relocation," Caring Transitions President Chris Seman said.

"These are just a few ways in which Rex and Nancy have really shown their dedication to the system and the business. Caring Transitions of Frisco has had significant growth in all aspects of the business since opening in September 2012 and it is not surprising given Rex and Nancy's hard work and dedication," he added.

Caring Transitions of Frisco serves Prosper, The Colony, Little Elm, Denton, Lewisville, Carrollton and the surrounding North Dallas suburbs. The company specializes in organizing and managing senior moves, downsizingand liquidation of belongings through estate/moving liquidations. In addition to the physical moving services, Caring Transitions can help with space planning, online auctionsand more.

"Prior to opening Caring Transitions, I spent 31 years in logistics. I knew about seven years ago that I wanted to work with seniors, but the timing just wasn't right. When I was laid off about 18 months ago, I knew I wanted to start my own business and I came across Caring Transitions in a LinkedIn message about working with older adults. Basically a big part of Caring Transitions is getting things from point A to point B in a caring way. That's logistics. With my background in project management and logistics, I knew it would be a good fit," he added.

Rex opened the business with his wife and business partner Nancy. Although business has been busy, they were surprised to be recognized as Co-Rookies of the Year.

"When I went into this business, people asked how long it would take me to turn a profit. Honestly, I haven't even looked at the numbers. I knew I wanted to spend the first two years not worrying so much about sales and instead focusing on getting my team and my marketing in place. At this point we're meeting a need in the community and my people are doing a great job," he said.

As far as working with the corporate team to improve the systems overall, Rex said it was an easy step for him after working in corporate America for so long.

"I have plans for my franchise, but I also want to build a stronger brand. If something isn't working right or could be improved, I pass it up the chain of command. You can't just sit back and complain and not do anything. Working together like we do is how we all get better," he said. "If you're not involved, you don't get to complain."

So overall, because of the way they run the business, Nancy and Rex weren't expecting any sort of recognition at the company's national conference in mid-February.

"When they told us we have won Co-Rookie of the Year, we were surprised. Being recognized like that is always humbling," Rex said. "It was very thoughtful for corporate to give us an award for the work we've been doing for our business and for the brand, but it's really an award that goes to my whole team," Rex said.
