HomeTask Expands by Signing SandFree to Service Network

HomeTask connects consumers with services. SandFree refinishes floors without dust.

March 28, 2014 // Franchising.com // Tracking, scheduling, paying and rating your handyman can be time consuming and even impossible without some help. HomeTask has assembled a network of service providers that wash windows, paint, landscape, plumb, provide pet services, clean, dispose, consult, sell property and more for consumers can focus on things they enjoy more than their task lists. The HomeTask Network is critical to the lives of many busy American families in the fast-paced culture we find ourselves in today.

To that end, HomeTask is to partnering with service brands of all types enabling a full figured suite of services for consumers to access. Recently, HomeTask added another new service to their already deep list of services offered though their network.

In March of 2014, HomeTask signed an agreement with SandFree that puts an additional brand and service into the HomeTask Service Network. SandFree, founded by Peter Shihadeh in 2008, boasts of 12 franchised locations with plans to expand to 60 within the next forty-eight months and dozens more in the years to follow. SandFree as noted by the name is a sand free wood floor refinishing company. The company uses a proprietary process to refinish and beautify floors without the hassle and mess normally associated with this procedure.

HomeTask is growing rapidly as more and more franchised brands join the network and as more local business owners purchase new franchises. When a brand joins the HomeTask family, they gain the strength and horsepower of an eight-hundred pound gorilla in regards to web services and customer support systems.

In 1999 HomeTask CEO Jerrod Sessler started his first contracting company, now known as Yellow Van Handyman. He began franchising that concept in 2004 and quickly gained success. In 2010, the company acquired Pet Butler with 70 locations nationwide providing pet waste clean up services. In 2012, two more brands were launched and an additional partnership was forged. Lawn Army and Freggies were officially launched in 2012, while HomeTask also partnered with Craters & Freighters packing and shipping services. In 2013, HomeTask announced the launch of Blue Crew, a pool maintenance service set to go live in the next 18 months and they signed a partnership agreement with Data Doctors which provides computer repair services to consumers at their retail locations and at home. Early in 2014, HomeTask signed ZoominGroomin, a mobile dog bathing system. And, the company is rapidly adding additional brands and locations to their affiliate network.

Sessler's vision is to provide a one-stop-shopping experience for consumers looking for home service providers. He recently discussed the topic and said, “It is my goal for people to look at HomeTask as the Carfax for the home. People want information about their property and imagine if you purchase a home and you want to hire various service providers. Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to see who has experience servicing the property?”

HomeTask brings all the necessary services together in one place so the home owner can schedule everything needed for their home from one site, from a kitchen remodel to dog-walking to pool cleaning or yard care.

Franchise brands that join the HomeTask family of services gain support staff knowledgeable in franchising and access to a team that understands franchising at every level.
