Successful Business Owner Joins Maui Wowi Hawaiian

The company has granted a franchise to Houston native, Mark Rome, a local entrepreneur looking for the next big thing.

Rome, who owns a well-established newspaper distribution company, has been in business for himself for the past 33 years. From his college days, Rome looked for means to earn extra income and started distributing the local paper. Working day and night, Rome was able to grow the company until it ran like a well-oiled machine. He worked his way up to become a leader in the industry and the standard others aspired to achieve.

"I immediately fell in love with working for myself and never looked back," says Rome.

His entrepreneurial drive has now led him to the next chapter in his life and a new opportunity for success. While Rome continues to work in the newspaper distribution industry, he is ready to go all hands on deck with Maui Wowi.

"After looking at a lot of different franchises over the past year, honestly, Maui Wowi was the only company that met all of my criteria. There wasn't a second choice," he says. "The harder and smarter I work, the more I can make, and that is a formula for success in my book."

With the infrastructure needed to run a business already established, Rome says he's looking forward to being hands-on and immersing himself in the Aloha Spirit. He will start with Maui Wowi's versatile mobile event carts, which together with the model's simplicity, instantly attracted him to the company.

"There is tremendous flexibility in being able to start with the carts. The opportunity they provide with special events and catering parties is huge," says Rome. "I'm really excited about how simple and easy it can be to get going and operate."

After completing Maui Wowi's series of online courses called "Aloha U," Rome will complete a comprehensive week of training at the Maui Wowi headquarters that is designed to fully prepare franchisees for success. The business man and family man says he is looking forward to sharing this business and involving his two teenage sons in the operation. Allowing time to spend with his wife and kids was at the top of his list of criteria.

"I think it's a unique bonding opportunity that you really can't create very easily. I didn't find anything else that even came close," says Rome of his search for the perfect franchise.

Rome's solid business experience and entrepreneurial determination will prove to be advantageous in fulfilling his goals. Now that he has found a new challenge and new adventure in Maui Wowi, he is ready to once again take his business to the top.
