Snap Fitness/Lift Brands Named One of Franchise Times 2014 Dealmakers of the Year

March 28, 2014 - MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Franchise Times named Snap Fitness/Lift Brands and their Founder/CEO Peter Taunton a Dealmaker of the Year this week in Las Vegas. The annual award recognizes the 12 boldest businesses that attained excellence in buying and selling companies to drive sustainable growth.

Since Taunton founded the company in 2003, Snap Fitness has flourished into one of the world's leading fitness franchises. Snap Fitness currently has 2,000 clubs open or in development in 15 countries. In the past year, the company made key acquisitions in 9Round and STEELE Fitness. 9Round has expanded both domestically and internationally; the kickboxing franchise has doubled in locations in the past year.

"It's an honor to be recognized by Franchise Times," Taunton said. "I'm looking forward to continuing to grow franchise options for the many entrepreneurs who are passionate about owning their own business in the health and wellness space."

This February, Taunton launched Lift Brands, a parent company to popular wellness brands: Snap Fitness, 9Round, Fitness On Demand, STEELE Fitness, and Kosama.
