Eagle River Dairy Queen® Restaurant Completes Renovations and Re-Opens as DQ Grill & Chill® Restaurant

Restaurant serves up Dairy Queen® iconic soft-serve treats, flavorful foods and Orange Julius® offerings.

April 14, 2014 // Franchising.com // EAGLE RIVER, Wis. – The Dairy Queen® system is pleased to announce the re-opening of the Eagle River location at 100 W. Pine Street, conveniently located at the corner of Highway 70 and Railroad Street. This location was renovated into a DQ Grill & Chill® restaurant, the newest design model for the system, making this the first DQ Grill & Chill restaurant in Vilas County. The Eagle River DQ Grill & Chill restaurant is part of the family of more than 6,300 restaurants world-wide committed to offering every fan a place where they can relax and share a great meal and one of a kind soft serve treats.

The new DQ Grill & Chill restaurant can seat up to 76 guests, offers a convenient drive-thru window and employs a staff of 18.

"We are excited to re-open this location and welcome the community in to experience the new design, updates and enjoy our full menu of cravable food items, signature and innovative treats and Orange Julius® Premium Fruit Smoothies, Light Smoothies and Julius® Original drinks," said restaurant operator Dan Anderson.

The menu at the Eagle River DQ Grill & Chill restaurant features a range of food options for fans including the DQ system’s value meal, $5 Buck Lunch, which is available daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at this location. Fans have a choice of a quarter-pound GrillBurger™ with cheese, 3-piece Chicken Strip Lunch or a Chili Cheese Dog, which are all served with fries, a beverage and choice of a sundae. For just $1 more, fans also will have the option to upgrade their small sundae to a small Blizzard® Treat.

The DQ Grill & Chill restaurant in Eagle River also features treat favorites, such as the iconic Blizzard Treats, DQ Cakes and a wide variety of other soft-serve items, as well as the full line of Orange Julius fruit-blended beverages. All Orange Julius Premium Fruit Smoothies, Light Smoothies and Julius Original drinks are available in eight flavors including Orange, Strawberry, Strawberry Banana, Tripleberry®, Mango Pineapple, Berry Pomegranate, OrangeBerry and Piña Colada. The Orange Julius Premium Fruit Smoothies are fresh-blended to order with real fruit and low-fat yogurt. Orange Julius Light Smoothies are 170 calories or less in a small size, contain no artificial sweeteners or flavors, and are yogurt-free.
