Opening in Summer 2015, Element Bozeman Will Offer Stylish, Extended Stay Lodging in the Heart of Downtown

STAMFORD, Conn. - April 14, 2014 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE:HOT) today announced plans to debut its Element brand in Bozeman. Element Bozeman will open in June of 2015 at the heart of the downtown entertainment district. Owned by a group of Bozeman investors managed by Homebase Montana, the newly constructed Element hotel will offer a smart, new option for travelers with 104 stylish, sustainable rooms and a light-filled atmosphere designed to fuel a life in balance and on the move. Element Bozeman expects to receive LEED certification soon after opening from the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.

"We look forward to introducing Element to Bozeman, a leading tourist destination in the Rocky Mountain region and a great fit for our eco-wise brand," said Brian McGuinness, Senior Vice President of Specialty Select Brands for Starwood. "At Element, guests enjoy a bright, energizing environment that's conducive to both work and play, enhanced by a line-up of innovative brand-led programming."

"We are thrilled to partner with Starwood to debut Element in Bozeman and expect this stylish, sustainable brand to resonate with travelers to the area," said Andy Halloran, Homebase Principal. "Element Bozeman will energize our downtown lodging market and give travelers a terrific, new choice in an ideal location."

Located just one block from Historic Main Street, Element Bozeman will be ideally situated at the center of the city’s entertainment district and a ten-minute walk to the campus of Montana State University. Just 15 minutes from Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN), the new Element will be close to Museum of the Rockies, Emerson Center for the Arts & Culture, the city’s business district and a variety of boutiques, art galleries, restaurants and night life. Celebrated for its outdoor lifestyle, Bozeman is a year-round tourist destination offering proximity to Yellowstone National Park and several world class ski areas including Big Sky Resort.

"Element Bozeman is a highly anticipated addition to the city’s downtown and will give visitors the opportunity to stay right in our central commercial district," said Chris Naumann, Executive Director of Downtown Bozeman Partnership. "We have identified a long-standing need for a downtown hotel and feel that Starwood’s Element brand is an excellent choice for our city."

Element Bozeman will boast light-filled studios as well as one bedroom suites featuring a fluid design of modular furniture, swiveling flat-screen televisions, large desks with open shelving and custom-designed closets. Rooms will also offer fully equipped kitchens and the signature Heavenly® Bed, and spa-inspired bathrooms will feature an invigorating rain shower. Other brand signatures will include a state-of-the-art, 24-hour fitness center, indoor/outdoor pool, and 900 square-foot meeting room with modular furnishings, a flexible layout and state-of-the-art technology that can be customized to meet any business or social needs.
