MINNEAPOLIS - May 14, 2014 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Buffalo Wild Wings, Inc. (NASDAQ: BWLD), known for its restaurants focused on wings, beer and sports, is heating up the PizzaRev-olution with the grand opening today of its first PizzaRev franchise in Hopkins, Minn., in suburban Minneapolis. The new restaurant is the first outside of California for the build-your-own artisanal pizza concept, and the first of several PizzaRev locations that Buffalo Wild Wings plans to open throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul market.
Following a ribbon cutting with Buffalo Wild Wings CEO and President Sally Smith and PizzaRev Founder Irv Zuckerman and Chief Operating Officer Nicholas Eckerman, Smith will help create the first official pizza and serve it to the first guest.
Hopkins guests will "craft their own" 11" artisanal-quality pizzas loaded with 30+ fresh, premium ingredients of their choosing, and served piping hot from a custom-built, 9,600 pound, open-flame, stone-bed oven in less than three minutes. Conveniently located at Knollwood Crossing Center, 525 N. Blake Rd., the restaurant will be open every day of the week from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
"Buffalo Wild Wings is all about bringing guests a unique experience at a good value, and we love how PizzaRev brings a fresh approach to the pizza industry – offering guests a truly interactive dining experience and premium offerings using only the highest quality ingredients," said Kathy Benning, executive vice president and chief strategy officer and business development of Buffalo Wild Wings. "We’re excited to open our first PizzaRev location right here in our hometown, and we’re confident that their unique take on pizza will thrive in Minnesota and across the country."
