Forbes Recognizes Brightway Insurance as a Top U.S. Franchise

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - June 4, 2014 // PRNewswire // - Forbes magazine has named independent insurance agency Brightway Insurance as one of the "Best Franchises in America."

Brightway Insurance placed No. 9 of 10 in the category of franchises with entry costs of up to $150,000, which was one of three categories created by Forbes based on FRANdata's intel, statistics and reviews from 3,000 franchises. The other two categories ranked franchise entry costs of $150,001 to $500,000 and over $500,000.

The company, founded in 2008 by brothers David and Michael Miller to offer agents and consumers an improved insurance agency model, has 108 store locations as of year-end 2013.

The company is reinventing the independent agency model. A typical independent insurance agent represents up to six insurance companies, while Brightway agents typically have access to more than twice that number.

Brightway's franchise fee is $30,000 for states with fewer than five stores and $60,000 for states with more than five stores. Brightway Insurance offers 100-percent financing for veterans seeking to open a Brightway franchise.
