June 11, 2014 // Franchising.com // InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®), one of the world's largest hotel companies, has announced the signing of the first Holiday Inn® hotel in Belarus: Holiday Inn® Minsk. Due to open in 2016, the new build property will operate under a franchise agreement with Hospitality Group LLC.
Holiday Inn Minsk will also feature the brand's signature Open Lobby. The Holiday Inn Open Lobby takes a unique approach to the in-hotel experience for guests, which has transformed the traditional hotel lobby format by combining the front desk, lobby, restaurant, bar, lounge area and business centre into one open, cohesive space, while refreshing the design to give it a more contemporary feel. The Open Lobby has been established by understanding how people use space at home in order to give guests the most flexibility, whether they're looking to eat, relax, work, or have fun in one integrated space.
The 205-room hotel will also feature nine suites, a gym, parking for 35 vehicles, four meeting rooms and breakout rooms, and a restaurant and lounge area. The hotel's design creates an atmosphere that is warm and welcoming for guests.
Occupying a prime city centre spot in Belarus's capital, the hotel is located near a number of government offices and company headquarters, making it easily accessible for both business and leisure travellers frequenting the city.
