Wayback Burgers Ramps up Development with New Locations in Navy Base and Sports Arena

Nontraditional Expansion a Top Priority for America's Hometown Burger Restaurant

CHESHIRE, Conn. - June 18, 2014 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Recognized as one of the most aggressive and ambitious "better burger" brands in the United States, Wayback Burgers is targeting nontraditional venues, in addition to its continued success across the nation and internationally, as a lucrative opportunity for expansion. Wayback Burgers has joined forces with the Naval Base Ventura County (NBVC) Port Hueneme, Navy Exchange (NEX) in Ventura, California to open a new in the NEX Port Hueneme court in addition to serving its classic burgers and sandwiches in the Wells Fargo Center, the premier and arena in the greater Philadelphia area.

The fast-casual franchise has come a long way since spearheading national franchising efforts in 2009, seeing extreme value in nontraditional expansion. Within the past year, Wayback Burgers has expanded into the NEX Port Hueneme food court which held its grand opening on May 7, established a relationship with Aramark by opening a location in the Wells Fargo Center, and has two additional navy base expansion deals planned for 2014. As Wayback Burgers continues to converse with national retailers, universities, and other armed services organizations, the company has the goal of expanding into 20 nontraditional locations by the end of 2015.

In addition to nontraditional development, Wayback Burgers recently expanded its development into 28 countries throughout the Middle East and North Africa region with international franchise development company, Topaz MENA as well as recently joined forces with Wayback Argentina S.A. as the company has signed a deal to open 30 new locations in the Argentina market. Given that 95 percent of the world's potential consumers are beyond U.S. borders, Wayback Burgers is building its reputation oversees with additional expansion details brewing in Canada and Mexico among others.
